At YOHO ADVENTURES, we take safety very seriously. Over the years, we have built up a strong organizational culture around safety management. Our wilderness guides are trained in Wilderness First Aid Response or Pre Hospital emergency care and have years of guiding experience in remote locations.
They have also been working with people in a multitude of outdoor wilderness environments around the world, with a variety of different backgrounds. Adventure, by its very definition, is defined as an unusual and exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity; and an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks. However, we make it our business to mitigate and eliminate high risks wherever possible, and where high risk remains, we take every effort to minimize it.
Our pre-trip medical forms may be a tad lengthy, but it’s to ensure we know absolutely everything about you medically, so that we are prepared for what we might encounter when in these remote settings. We have a variety of communication devices that we carry on all our trips, and every trip has an outlined emergency plan for a variety of scenarios. We also take the added precaution of having two professional, well-experienced guides per trip.
Wilderness travel does incur many risks, by either unforeseen or out of our control by forces of nature. By choosing to travel in the wilderness with us, you are aware of the risks associated with backcountry travel. Every participant must read and sign our risk disclosure agreement prior to travelling with us.
